Please read these terms carefully before using Codeance. They define your rights, responsibilities, and the rules of our platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Codeance ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Platform.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These terms apply to all users including students, instructors, and administrators.

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account on Codeance.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Codeance grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited licence to access and use the Platform for personal learning.
You may not use the Platform for any commercial purpose without prior written consent.
You agree not to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of Platform content without permission.
AI-generated content (courses, quizzes, roadmaps) is provided for educational purposes and may not be repurposed commercially.
Automated access, scraping, or data harvesting from the Platform is strictly prohibited.

Code you write and submit through the integrated editor remains your intellectual property.
By submitting code, you grant Codeance a limited licence to analyse it solely for the purpose of providing AI feedback.
You agree not to submit malicious, offensive, or illegal code.
We are not responsible for any errors in AI-generated code feedback — always review suggestions carefully.
Execution environments are sandboxed; do not attempt to escape or abuse the sandbox infrastructure.

Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users on discussion forums or any community feature.
Posting spam, misinformation, or content that violates intellectual property rights.
Attempting to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Platform or its underlying AI systems.
Creating fake accounts, impersonating others, or misrepresenting your identity.
Using the Platform to distribute malware, phishing links, or other harmful content.

All Platform content, branding, and UI designs are the property of Codeance and protected by copyright law.
User-generated content (posts, notes, submissions) remains your property; you grant us a licence to display it on the Platform.
Third-party trademarks referenced on the Platform belong to their respective owners.
If you believe any content infringes your copyright, please contact us promptly.

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or accuracy of AI-generated content.
Career, startup, and wellness guidance provided by AI agents is for informational purposes only and is not professional advice.
Codeance is not responsible for decisions made based on Platform content or AI recommendations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codeance shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.
We are not liable for third-party services (e.g., AI APIs, cloud providers) that experience outages or errors.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
